Art-A-Whirl® is the largest open studio tour in the country, happening annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis the third weekend of May. View artwork of nearly 800 artists in every medium at more than 60 locations, including studio buildings, art galleries, homes, storefronts, and local businesses. The artists’ open studio tours may include demonstrations, mini workshops, installations, and special exhibitions. Studio tours offer a great opportunity to ask questions, discuss techniques, experience art first-hand, and purchase unique artwork directly from the artists who make our community so vibrant!

You're a Gem is an art playground curated by Larissa Loden and full of multisensory installations inspired by gemstones. Local artists and designers have constructed beautiful environments to play in at any age. NEMAA PRESENTS THE 24TH ANNUAL ART-A-WHIRL

Art-A-Whirl is an open studio tour in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s a great opportunity to tour private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork. Over the last 24 years, it has become the largest open studio tour in the country. Art-A-Whirl takes place annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis, the third weekend of May.

This event is free and open to the public.

2019 DATES AND HOURS:

American Craft Council Presents the St. Paul American Craft Show

Learn about the process of making, get inspired, and prepare to be wowed as you meet and shop more than 230 of the best jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor artists from across the country – including a juried showcase of talented emerging artists – at the American Craft Show in St. Paul. Join us for the Preview Party on April 4.

Throughout the show you’ll find shared booths featuring makers in our Hip Pop emerging artists program, a three-year track that provides a supportive, cost-effective pathway into our shows for artists just starting their career. In St. Paul, we’re excited to have 30 artists exhibiting through the program.

Celebrating youth and the beauty of aging, S’habiller Avec Amour – To Dress with Love is an evening of true inspiration presented by portrait artist and photographer Shelly Mosman along with a team of creatives for Fashion Week MN.

The runway show features local clothing designers Shenandoah Bauer and Carter Averbeck of Omforme Design, milliner Celina Kane, and with jewelry designers Olivia ScharesStephanie Lake Design and Jennifer Merchant Design. S’habiller Avec Amour incorporates pieces from vintage and resale boutiques the Golden Pearl VintageMy Sister’s Closet and GH2 curated together to create this Gucci-inspired runway.

Mosman and her team have assembled a visual production including hair & makeup styling provided by HAUS Salon, production Niya DeLaPena, style builder Kimberly Steward, music designer Daron Walker and baroque opera singer Sarah Jackson in correlation with lighting designer Paul “Arlo” Guthrie. Enjoy complimentary cocktails crafted by Crooked Water Spirits and small bites from Fabulous Catering.

Put on your party shoes and we’ll see you at Workshop NE, generously donated by Josh Hanson. Note: This is a ticketed event with limited seating.

Art at St. Kate’s, a juried art fair of quality fine crafts and fine art, is produced by Artists’ Circle, a Minnesota non-profit art organization promoting fine crafts since 1997, and Textile Center, a national center for fiber arts in Minneapolis. Art at St. Kate’s is the finest one-day outdoor art fair in Saint Paul. American Craft Council Holiday Craft Hop

The American Craft Council is pleased to invite you to our 2017 Holiday Craft Hop. RSP Architects will open their historic space in the Grain Belt Brew House to host this massive holiday craft sale.

Shop more than 60 local makers of handmade textiles, wood, pottery, jewelry, and more. You'll also find artisan foods, an activity by the Somali Museum of Minnesota, and a pop-up shop by Tandem Vintage. Plus, watch a live pottery-throwing demo by Cherrico Pottery and have your tintype portrait created by Zoey Melf.
